Local celebrities light up the dance floor
in Seaside Music Theater's Daytona's Gotta Dance ballroom

Seven local
celebrities - three men and four women - attempt to outshine one
another on stage Saturday, August 9 at the News-Journal Center.
Be a part of the dance craze that has swept the nation as
Seaside Music Theater presents Daytona's Gotta Dance,
a starlit night of ballroom dancing to benefit the theater. You be
the judge of seven local celebs who will be paired with
professional dancers and attempt to out-Fox Trot the competition.
The dancers
will strut their stuff before a live audience with their
professional partners provided by Quanita's Ballroom, Fred
Astaire Dance Studios, Floor Play Dance, as well as freelance dance
professionals. The cast boasts a Mayor, a Magazine Publisher, an
Orthopaedic Surgeon, a Realtor, and several other Professionals in
the Volusia County area.
There are
three options for tickets. The first one is $100 per person and
includes a dinner buffet and cash bar in the lobby beginning at 6
p.m., prime theater seating for the show, four ballot votes and a
glimpse of the dancers before curtain. The second option is $50 and
includes theater seating for the show at 8 p.m. and a FREE ticket
to Walk-In, Dance-Out w/Quanita Aug. 23rd. The third
option is $25 per person and includes the show only beginning at 8
p.m. Tickets may be purchased (by cash or check only) at the
News-Journal Center box office, 221 N. Beach Street, Daytona Beach.
Box office hours are Monday - Friday 10 a.m. - 4
p.m.
The
judges - Betty Jane France from the Daytona International Speedway,
Jeffrey Swendsen from La Crepe en Haut, Bonnie Meyers who is a
recognized adjudicator for professional/amateur and medal
certifications, and Alberto and Selena Hoyos with Rhythmic Harmony
International and US representatives to the World Argentine Tango -
will be on hand as expert commentators to dissect the performances
and artistic content.
Viewers
will be asked to vote on the overall performance: dancing,
choreography, costume and choice of music. Votes will be sold at $5
per or five for $20. You may purchase votes from your favorite
dancer prior to the show, as well as the night of the
event.

is a Published and Board Certified Orthopaedic Surgeon. His
childhood was spent in Teaneck, NJ. He is a graduate of Baylor

Mexico, and the Washington DC area. He completed his Orthopaedic
