Bahama House Caters To Turkey Run Travelers

This year’s Thanksgiving Weekend marks the 41st annual Daytona Beach Turkey Run™. Whether you’re a buyer, seller, enthusiast or spectator, the Turkey Run™ is the place to be for car lovers this November. What started as a small alternative venue in 1974 currently hosts over 6,000 show cars and over 1,000 swap meet vendors. This is the largest combined car show and swap meet in the United States, and the Bahama House Hotel is happy to open it’s doors to travelers coming into town. Enter the promo code TURKEY for an additional 25% off your relaxing oceanfront stay (this is a limited time offer and restrictions may apply). You can learn more about the annual Turkey Run here.

The Turkey Run™ has found a permanent annual home at the Daytona International Speedway, setting up camp within the iconic infield every Thanksgiving Weekend. For this year’s calendar that’s November 27 through November 30th. Hours for the event are 8:00am until 4:00pm Thursday through Saturday and from 8:00am until 2:00pm on Sunday. Admission costs $15 per day, and $10 on Sunday. Children 11 and under are admitted free.

For off-event hours visitors can enjoy the city of Daytona Beach, with emphasis on the beach. The Bahama House Hotel, because of it’s ideal location, often sells out during Turkey Run™ days. Our hotel during Thanksgiving Weekend is filled with an excited buzz as event-goers mingle in the reception and common areas, as well as during our family friendly social hour and provided children’s activities. It’s a “beachside home away from home” with the perks of a daily deluxe continental breakfast, daily cocktail reception, fresh baked cookies, high speed Wi-Fi internet access, ample parking, and a daily newspaper all at no additional cost. Here there are no resort fees, either. The Daytona Beach Turkey Run™ 2014 will host its trademark car show, swap meet, car corral, and arts and fashion bazaar. The myriad of special events this year include a salute to the troops, the Bobby Allison Project and the the Little Gobbler’s Play Zone. The Play Zone will offer bouncy houses, an obstacle course, face painting, balloon art and a kid’s craft area at no additional charge. All in all, it’s shaping up to be the high quality event Daytona residents and travelers have come to love and expect!
